The short answer: At MyFortiPage, a custom-designed website costs a one-off €499 as a one-page website, €999 with up to 5 pages or €1,999 with up to 15 pages. On top of that come ongoing costs for domain and hosting, which you pay directly to your provider.
Images, copy and additional features can cause further costs. We agree on these before the start, so you know in advance what to expect.
What determines the cost of a website
Online you’ll find prices ranging from a few euros a month to five-figure sums. This is mainly because very different services are being compared: a website builder subscription, an adapted template and a custom-built website have little in common.
For a business website, five factors mainly determine the price:
- Number of pages: A one-page website with all information on a single page is quicker to build than a site with separate pages for every service.
- Design: A custom design is created specifically for your business. A template is only adapted.
- Features: A contact form and a map are standard. Appointment booking, price calculators, databases or an area for editing content yourself mean extra work.
- Content: It makes a clear difference whether copy and images already exist or still need to be created.
- Support: Support after launch, maintenance and further development may be included in the price or charged separately.
When you compare quotes, always check which of these points are actually included.
My packages at a glance
So that you can estimate the costs in advance, I work with three packages at fixed prices. All package prices are one-off payments. There is no subscription, and the website belongs to you.
| Package | Scope | Support | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | one-page website | 30 days | €499 |
| Business | up to 5 pages | 60 days | €999 |
| Premium | up to 15 pages | 90 days | €1,999 |
Included in every package
- Custom design without a website builder – with full control and ownership of your website
- SEO fundamentals such as page structure, page titles and meta descriptions
- Contact form, Google Maps integration and links to your social media profiles
- DDoS protection via Cloudflare and SSL encryption
- Cookie banner as well as pages for the legal notice and privacy policy
What sets the packages apart
From the Business package onwards, I can set up a MySQL database on request, for example for content or enquiries that need to be stored. The Premium package also includes a live chat integration, a CMS integration that lets you edit content yourself, and performance optimisation.
As a rough guide: Starter fits if you want to present a clear offer on one page. Business is suitable if you want to show several services on their own pages. Premium is intended for more extensive websites or if you want to change content regularly yourself. We’ll clarify which package really fits in the free initial consultation.
Additional costs: domain, hosting, images and copy
The package prices cover building your website. Some costs arise independently of this. To avoid surprises later, we discuss them before the start.
Domain
You purchase your domain – the address such as your-business.de – yourself from a provider of your choice. This has an important advantage: the domain is registered in your name, and you stay independent, even if you later work with another web designer. The ongoing cost of a .de domain is usually low, and many hosting packages already include a domain. You’ll find current prices directly at the provider.
Hosting
For your website to be accessible, it needs space on a server – the hosting. You pay the ongoing hosting costs separately and directly to your provider. Which package you need depends on your website: a lean website without a database has lower requirements than a website with an admin area. I’ll tell you what to look out for before you buy. Publishing the website on your hosting is part of the agreed work.
Images
Your own photos of yourself, your team, your premises or your work are the most convincing. If suitable images are missing, free or paid stock photos are an option. If paid images are needed, we agree on the selection and costs before purchasing. For every image, it’s important that you’re allowed to use it on your website.
Copy
You can provide the copy yourself or have me write it on request. We agree on the scope and price of copywriting in advance. Which content you can prepare is shown in the guide How to prepare your website project.
| Cost type | When | Billing |
|---|---|---|
| Package price | one-off | via MyFortiPage |
| Domain | ongoing | directly with your domain provider |
| Hosting | ongoing | directly with your hosting provider |
| Images | as needed | as agreed before purchase |
| Copywriting | optional | as agreed |
| Extras | optional | according to the price overview |
Optional extras
Not every website needs the same features. That’s why every package can be extended with extras, for example:
- WhatsApp live chat, so customers can message you directly
- Appointment booking tool for bookings directly on your website
- Accelerated delivery if your project should be scheduled with priority
- Editorial copy
- Setup and management of Google Ads campaigns
- Extended availability outside office hours
- Firewall and security for existing websites
You’ll find the current prices of the extras in the price overview. With Google Ads, the advertising budget comes on top, which you pay directly to Google.
One-off and ongoing costs
For your planning, it helps to look at both types of cost separately.
One-off, you pay the package price and, if applicable, extras, copy or image licences. Ongoing costs are domain and hosting, which you settle directly with your providers. I don’t offer website subscriptions.
Every package includes support – 30, 60 or 90 days depending on the package. If you’d like help beyond that, I can take over maintenance, content changes and further development on request. We agree on scope and costs separately. Learn more on the care & maintenance page.
How to compare website quotes
Two quotes with a similar price can contain very different services. These questions help you compare:
- How many pages are included, and what counts as a page?
- Is the design created individually or is a template adapted?
- Do you own the website, domain and content – even if you switch providers?
- Are there monthly fees or a minimum term?
- Which SEO fundamentals are actually implemented?
- Are security features such as SSL encryption included?
- How does the coordination work, and how many feedback rounds are planned?
- What support do you get after launch?
- What do domain, hosting, images and copy add?
Website builders seem cheap at first, but are usually paid monthly for as long as the website is online. If you switch, the website often can’t simply be taken with you. Whether a website builder is enough for you depends on how much time you want to invest yourself and which features you need.
Web design in Munich: does location matter?
Whether your web designer is just around the corner doesn’t determine the quality of a website. What matters is good coordination and a dedicated contact person. I work with businesses in Munich and across Germany. We discuss your project by phone, video or email, and the package prices apply regardless of your location.
On the website itself, however, location plays an important role: clear information about your service area, address and availability helps visitors and search engines understand your offer correctly.
How to get your quote
In the free initial consultation, we discuss your business, your goals and the features you need. Afterwards, you receive a binding quote with clearly defined services. You don’t need to have chosen a package yet.
If you’d like to prepare, the guide Getting a website built in Munich: how to prepare your project will help.
